Ray Traynor

Ray Traynor is principal regional planner and a member of the executive team at the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and a California Registered Landscape Architect. Traynor holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the School of Architecture and Environmental Design at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1983, and an MBA from San Diego State University in 1997 with an emphasis on entrepreneurial management.
Traynor’s interest in ecological restoration began in the mid-1980s as a landscape architect for the California Department of Transportation. His 30-year career includes work in landscape architecture; ecological restoration; project management; business development; product management; mobile applications development; and transportation planning.
