Before you submit a proposal, we ask that you take some time to familiarize yourself with Island Press to ensure that we are the best home for your book. Our mission, list of staff, and current titles are available to you as well as a list of frequently asked questions.
To present a proposal to Island Press, please send a proposal to the appropriate editor. For information on what the proposal should cover, please refer to these Guidelines for Submitting a Proposal. If you have not heard within a month from the editor to whom you submitted your project, feel free to send a follow-up query by e-mail. Island Press accepts proposals on a rolling basis and is happy to consider a book at any stage.
